Lake Nipissing Sights and Sounds!

The Nipissing Township Museum opened in 1975 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Nipissing-Rosseau colonization road. The museum is housed in a former church made of hand-hewn logs that was built by craftsmen in the late 1800's. Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park is a scenic natural environment park that protects more than 2,500 hectares of history, legend and wildlife habitat. Located 50 kilometres east of North Bay, and situated on the beautiful Mattawa River and its connecting waterways, this natural park is sure to bring adventure and excitement to those "going back in time."
